Below is a list of the travel essentials we take with us on trips to make sure we are packed and prepared for anything.
Airport & Flights
- Packing Cubes – helps to organize your clothes in your bag. I like that the mesh side allows you to see what is in each cube and provides breathability to the clothes.
- Packing Cubes – these compression bags allow you to fit more in your bag
- Luggage Scale – lightweight, packable, accurate within 2lbs
- Neck Support – not created for flying however it’s firmer neck support than any pillows I’ve bought and it inflates with air making it easy to deflate and pack in your carry-on
- Passport Holder – comes with a slot for your vaccine card and card slots
- AirTags – so glad we had these when our luggage didn’t make it to Iceland so we at least knew where it was
- Phone Charger – 2-pack, works for iPhone and Galaxy
- Phone Charger – magnetically sticks to your phone
- Laptop Sleeve – great quality for the price and doesn’t add much bulky-ness
Health
- Exercise Bands – lightweight and easy to pack for quick exercises when you don’t have access or time for the gym
- Ball Massagers – easy to pack, great for use after long flights
- Vitamin C Packets – helps your immune system while you are traveling
- Liquid IV – we prefer Gatorade Zero for electrolytes since it has 0 sugar but these packets are convenient for travel
- Protein Bar – our favorite bars, vegan
- Oxygen Canisters – recommended for hikes or high altitude cities for an extra oxygen boost
- Seat Cushion – helpful for long road trips
- Water Bottle – includes a built-in water filter
- Sea-Band – helps with nausea relief
- Nausea Drops – helpful for upset stomach, nausea, and motion sickness
- Nausea Tablets – I have taken these during turbulent flights, the drowsy tablets also help me sleep on flights
- Stomach Relief – chewable tablets
- Ginger Tablets – helps with digestion
Safety
- Door Stopper Alarm – if someone opens your door the alarm it will go off and is very loud. Make sure to remove the battery in your bag to avoid it accidentally turning on in your suitcase
- Small Lock – retractable steel cable to fit around various items
- Pepper Spray – can’t carry in your carry on but you can put a <4oz pepper spray in your checked bag as long as there is a safety mechanism to prevent accidental discharge of mace
- Ear Plugs – comfortable for sleeping, comes with 2 pairs
- Ear Plugs – these are designed to protect your ears but not muffle the sound. We wear these at concerts and on airplanes when the engines are really loud to prevent hearing damage
- Emergency Whistle – lightweight, easy to pack
Hiking
- Blister Protection Cream – I never hike without it and never get blisters even after hiking 4+ hours. The 3oz should be plenty
- Neck Gaiter – protects your neck from the sun
- Camping Chairs – 2lbs each, easy to assemble and pack, they are also small and low to the ground for concerts and festivals
- Camping Chair – heavy-duty camping chair
- Hiking Poles – great quality for the price, the cork grips mold to your hand, you can only bring hiking poles on a flight if they are in your checked bag
- Hand Warmers – use these on cold hikes, camping, and skiing/snowboarding
- Can Insulator – keeps your drink cold, we also use the seltzer insulator, you can get them engraved as gift ideas
Miscellaneous
- Travel Bags – we use various sizes of these bags. They keep items that are wet from leaking and they keep anything wet on the outside from coming into your bag. They are great for wet swimsuits.
- Sound Machine – travel size, 25 white noise options
- Phone Pouch – waterproof
- Battery Powered Fan – wraps around your neck, small enough to carry around
- Travel Adapter – universal adapter with all plugs to use worldwide
- Drink Tumbler – will keep your drink hot or cold, we bring these on trips to make our own drinks to bring to the beach
